Osmotic Pressures. Forme atipiche di relazioni urbane (Atypical Forms of Urban Relationships) is a public and relational art project born from the desire to investigate former military areas in Bologna. These imposing and silent architectures have recently returned to public attention, particularly as "uncertain" urban zones—caught between unauthorized occupations and legitimate requests for use by citizens and associations—while awaiting a new purpose.

Osmotic Pressures. Forme atipiche di relazioni urbane is promoted by the cultural association Area C – Contemporary Cultures in collaboration with the Navile District of Bologna, aiming to encourage and support a deeper understanding of these places. The investigation began with the former Caserma Sani, located just a few steps from Bologna’s Central Station. The project shed light on the lesser-known aspects of the history and present condition of the former barracks. Through the direct involvement of citizens and the memories of those who have lived in these spaces, it created a bridge between past and present, fostering collaboration with institutions for their future redevelopment.

Osmotic Pressures. Forme atipiche di relazioni urbane is part of Bologna's ongoing reflection on contemporary issues, as the city continuously evolves toward new models of social coexistence.
